Brendan is qualified as an electrician and after subcontracting, ran his own electrical installation business. After gaining his degree from The University of Huddersfield, he worked for Arup in the Air and Rail sector. He then moved to Buro Happold Leeds, gaining experience from a range of projects including healthcare, external sports pitch lighting and retail.

Brendan has worked on a wide range of projects, such as RT5 Retail in Canary Wharf, Liverpool Street and Moorgate station, part of the new Crossrail development on London Underground (The largest project in Europe at the time). Also gaining experience in the restoration of listed buildings such as Halifax Piece Hall, Halifax Library, and The Hyde Park Picture House in Leeds. Lift traffic analysis is another specialist skill that Brendan has obtained whilst designing buildings that best meet the user’s requirements.
