Sustainable building design has become an area of increasing focus as the UK as we struggle to meet housing targets and reduce our environmental impact. Although it may be a popular buzzword now, at LEDA we’ve been practicing energy conscious design since we began in 1997.
Our sustainable approach has been honed and developed in direct response to the varying requirements of our broad client base. It’s an approach that combines the most effective sustainable design options with individual budget considerations. The end result is a new or refurbished building with as minimal environmental impact as factors of budget and design will allow.
How our sustainable design experience works for you
We design to Passive House principles and have worked on builds which needed to meet standards including Passive House, AECB building standards, the Code for Sustainable Homes level 6 and BREEAM. Our knowledge is deep and our understanding of how to meet different requirements, without compromising environmental impact, is comprehensive. It means our clients have confidence in what we do and why. It means we can answer their questions and support them through initial discussions to building completion. And it means we’ve earned our reputation as the leading sustainable practice in Yorkshire.
